Cotton Twills

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about your Pink Chickadee denim ruffle shorts - Ellie style! Many people have returned to pick up a couple of other pairs in polka dots or design your own.
Another option is cotton twill. The lighter-weight twill is about the same weight as the denim and comes in a number of colors (subject to availability). Twill is a great fabric for shorts - it's easy care for you. Machine wash cool and toss in the dryer on low to minimize shrink and wrinkles.
I loved the fuchsia pink, shown in our pink twill ruffle pants, so much that I bought all the supplier had in stock. There's still enough for a few more pairs, but when it's gone I won't be able to get any more.

Spring at Last!

One of the first signs of spring here in the midwest are the snowdrop flowers. Aptly named, snowdrops push their way through the snow. Within a couple of weeks, the snow had melted and here were the beautiful
blossoms in the woods across from our home. I love the delicate flowers, the white of the blossom against the grass green of the stem and foliage, the diminuative size of the plants.

Of course, the purple crocus is lovely, too!

Daffodils won't be far behind! Welcome spring! I thought you would never get here!

The Lovely Girls!

One of my etsy customers was kind enough to share photos of her lovely girls in their Pink Chickadee clothes. They are so adorable and I'm pleased she gave permission to share them with you!

Here's big sister, Amelia, in her dark chocolate brown corduroy ruffle pants worn with some items from her own closet. Doesn't she look smashing?

Here's the darling Miss Ayla in her reversible owl jumper and matching polka dot ruffle pants! So sweet!!

Avalyn Dress

New fabrics and new style! Introducing the Avalyn dress with an itty bitty ruffle over the shoulder, elastic neck, and slight A line shape. This is another style that will grow with your girl. Expect up to 3 years of wear: first as a dress, next as a tunic, finally as a top.

These gorgeous fabrics are from designer Anna Maria Horner. With rich, bold colors that will look great all four seasons of the year. Peacock blue background with white, yellow gold, lilac, sky blue, and orange. So many colors add up to lots of possibilities for outfits!

Wear it all by itself on hot days. For cooler days try white capri leggings and an orange tee. Chilly weather - it even looks darling over a simple sky blue tee and our denim ruffle jeans.

Same Avalyn style shows off two more Anna Maria Horner fabrics: the main dress is peacock blue with a giant flower with navy petals, sky blue, chartrese, rust organge, brick red-orange, white, and bits of Barbie pink and seafoam green. Coordinating fabric for the itty bitty ruffles is geometric shapes in 3 shades of blue and green-gold.

As little girls, my Mom often dressed my sister and I in coordinating outfits - similar but not identical. These two dresses would be great for sisters.
