Gaga over Madras!

One of the first people to welcome our family to our new home awhile back was five year old, Leah. She pulled into the driveway on her sweet purple bike to show me the cool bug crawling up her arm. One part tomboy. She was sporting the cutest little dress and gorgeous long brown hair. One part girly girl. This style of dress is inspired by Leah - a girl who has her adventures, but looks adorable while she's at them. It's feminine without being overly girly. Perfect for a girl who loves to run, skip, bike ride, scooter, climb, and wants to look like a girl while she's at it.

I'm lovin' this madras fabric. With 2 reds, 3 blues, white, ivory, and tan it's a great basic for coordinating tons of outfits! Picture the dress with denim ruffle capris, white leggings, a cute tan cardi sweater, jean jacket, little tee, or your own favorite!

Our community has crazy excitement over July Fourth and this would be just thing for the morning parade and brunch party that follows, the high school reunion picnic in the afternoon, and the evening BBQ and fireworks that night. One dress that can do all those occasions. Patriotic without looking too red, white, blue, it'll be favorite all summer long and into fall.

Adjustable tie neck means it'll grow with your girl. This year it's a dress, next year a tunic, and a top the year after that. Another fun little feature and another way to get more looks: change the tie - it's easy to swap the polka dot fabric one for your favorite ribbon - mine is polka dot red or blue. Tip: grosgrain stays tied better than satin. Here's sweet Remi - thanks to her Momma Stephanie for the pics!
